(18)  This charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

 1. Prophecies are divine decrees that encapsulate the mind and the will of God regarding a person, a place of a situation.
 2. Prophecies don't get fulfilled by themselves, they must be worked out.
