The church must be viewed in two ways;

1. The Catholic Church (Universal church)The mystical bod of Christ. 

2. The Local Church (Local Assembly). The gathering of believers in various locations. Hebrews 10:25

The church is a specially sanctified ones who have been called out to form one unit. 

MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT THE CHURCH.

The church is not a building but a spiritual body. 

The church is not a social gathering. It is the a revelation of the mind of God

The church is not a money collecting center

The church is not a societal organization. 

WHAT IS THE CHURCH?

1. The church is the expression of the wisdom of God. Ephesians 3:10. Acts 20:28

2. The church is God's new man project.1 Corinthians 15:45,47. Go relates with all who come to Him through Christ

3. The church is the household of God; family. Matthew 12:46-50. Hebrews 2:11-13

We all come to Christ as spiritual babes, but we cannot remain that way if we are going to experience the best of God. 

Reasons why God wants us to mature?

1. He wants to fellowship with us. Hebrews 6:4-5

2. He wants us to bless our world. Hebrews 6:5

3. He doesn't want us to be cursed, but blessed. Hebrews 6:7-8

4. He wants us to walk in our inheritance as His children. Hebrews 6:10-12

1. Human benevolence (favor)

2. Supernatural favor

How to receive favor?

1. Fasting and prayer

2. Be righteous

3. Get understanding from the word of God. Proverbs 13:15

4. Follow people who are favored. Genesis 13:1-2

Be a kingdom promoter. Psalm 102:13-14

If you want to enjoy your Christianity, it is in a place of maturity.

When you walk in greater light, you do not function by what you see. 

Maturity is a place where you walk in revelation.

The church is supposed to take advantage of the authority that Jesus has given unto them.

The high flyer is the one who has been given authority to go into the world and exhibit power. 

As you rise in the Kingdom, more authority is given unto you.
